1. Acceptance

By accessing or using fent ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. Continued use following any update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

fent is a URL shortening service that converts long URLs into shorter, shareable links. The Service is provided free of charge and without any guarantee of perpetual availability.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for the content of any link you create.

5. Prohibited Content and Uses

You must not use the Service to create links to, distribute, or promote any of the following:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors
• Malware, ransomware, spyware, adware, or any other malicious software
• Phishing pages or content designed to deceive users into disclosing personal information
• Content that facilitates fraud, scams, or financial crimes of any kind
• Content that threatens, harasses, stalks, or incites violence against any person or group
• Content that infringes any intellectual property rights
• Spam or unsolicited bulk communications
• Content that violates any applicable export control laws or sanctions
• Content that is otherwise illegal under the laws of any jurisdiction

Any link found to violate the above will be removed without notice. Violations may result in permanent restrictions on your IP address and device.

6. Moderation and Enforcement

Every link created through the Service is submitted to a private moderation system for review by the Service operator. The operator reserves the right to:

• Delete any link at any time, for any reason, without prior notice
• Restrict access to the Service from any IP address or device at any time
• Take action on any link that is reported or identified as violating these Terms

The operator's decisions regarding moderation are final.

7. No Registration

The Service does not require account registration. You do not own or have any right to a specific short link once created. Short links may be deleted at any time.

8. Data Collection

By using the Service, you acknowledge that the Service collects your IP address and a hashed device fingerprint for abuse prevention purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy. This data collection is a condition of using the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. The operator does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Service operator from any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
